"At this point, it doesn’t really matter where inspiration comes from. I see a certain visual element to all forms of design that speaks to a certain crazy aesthetic in my brain. I tend to focus on the same types of things no matter what I’m looking at, so if there’s a tree that has a branch that looks like the end of a T, then I’ll think about how cool it might be to integrate that into a new lettering project. The world is an amazing place and if you can recognize beauty in the most mundane things, then you’ll never run out of inspiration. You just need to figure out how to apply it."
